Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 Years Contract
LOCATION: Vaitele Tai, Samoa 
REPORTS TO: General Manager

Bluebird Lumber & Hardware Co. Ltd. is one of Samoa's leading retail and manufacturing business, with a strong presence across multiple divisions. We are seeking a strategic, commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and lead the company's financial direction, governance, and performance.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall financial health and strategic direction of the business. The CFO will lead all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, procurement governance, asset management, and risk control across both retail and manufacturing operations.

The role also oversees the integration and financial accuracy of XERO and Infinity RMS systems, ensuring strong financial discipline and real-time visibility across the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business growth.
• Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and financial reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Oversee Procurement and supplier financial accountability.
• Ensure full financial integration between XERO and Infinity RMS systems.
• Drive profitability through cost control, pricing strategy, and margin improvement.
• Oversee company assets, investments, and capital allocation.
• Lead and develop the Finance team to ensure performance and accountability.
• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as CFO, Financial Controller, or senior finance executive.
• CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA and advantage)
• Strong understanding of financial governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience in retail, manufacturing, or complex business environments preferred.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience with financial system (XERO and ERP/RMS integration preferred) 
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.

SALARY RANGE

SAT $105,000 - $150,000 (Gross), Negotiable depending on experience and qualification.
