Bluebird Lumber & Hardware is seeking a capable and results-driven Legal & Recovery Officer to join our Finance team. This is a key role responsible for managing overdue debtor accounts, driving recovery of outstanding debts, and coordinating legal action where required to protect the company's financial position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and recover overdue and high-risk debtor accounts (60+days)
Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
Escalate and manage accounts requiring legal action.
Liaise with company lawyers on debt recovery matters.
Prepare and maintain documentation for legal proceedings.
Monitor recovery progress and provide regular reports to Management.
Support credit control processes and identify high-risk customers.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Background in Law, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Experience in debt recovery, collections, or legal support (prefeered)
Strong negotiation and communications skills....
