Recovery and Legal Officer

Bluebird Lumber & Hardware is seeking a capable and results-driven Legal & Recovery Officer to join our Finance team.
This is a key role responsible for managing overdue debtor accounts, driving recovery of outstanding debts, and coordinating legal action where required to protect the company's financial position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and recover overdue and high-risk debtor accounts (60+days)
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
• Escalate and manage accounts requiring legal action.
• Liaise with company lawyers on debt recovery matters.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for legal proceedings.
• Monitor recovery progress and provide regular reports to Management.
• Support credit control processes and identify high-risk customers.

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

• Background in Law, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Experience in debt recovery, collections, or legal support (prefeered)
• Strong negotiation and communications skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations prfessionally.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

SALARY RANGE: SAT $23,000 to SAT $40,000.00 Negotiable depending on experience and qualification.
