Chief Human Resource Officer

Bluebird Lumber & Hardware Co. Ltd. is one of Samoa's leading retail and manufacturing business, with a strong presence across multiple divisions. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to join our executive team and lead the company's people strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the full HR function across retail, manufacturing, and corporate operations. The CHRO will pay a key role in shaping organizational culture, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring HR systems support business performance and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and execute a company-wide HR strategy aligned with business goals.
• Advise the General Manager and executive team on workforce planning, structure, and succession.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development across all divisions.
• Implement performance management systems and drive accountability through KPIs.
• Strengthen training, capability building, and leadership development programs.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, HR systems integration, and data integrity.
• Maintain compliance with Samoa labour laws and company policies.
• Foster a strong, values-driven workplace culture.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 7+ years experience is senior HR leadership (retail or manufacturing preferred)
• Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong understanding of Samoa labour laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in organizational development and change management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, and cultural awarenss.

SALARY RANGE

SAT $80,000 - $120,000 (Gross), Negotiable depending on experience and qualification.
