Reporting to the General Manager the key accountabilities include:
- Develop and achieve key operating targets of underlying operating
profit and cash flow for the business.
- Drive world class, integrated financial performance management
processes that support and challenge the business to deliver added
value.
- Drive automation and simplification within the Finance Function to
provide efficient back-office services.
- Perform review of local laws & excise with written confirmations of
evidence, compliance levels & gaps. All supported by local evidence
storage.
- Ensure that SOP reviews are conducted and updated to ensure full
compliance with the local law & group policies.
- Drive delivery of selected Strategic projects within Samoa & across
the Cluster.
- Perform a lead role in the development and implementation of an
Excise Lobby strategy that promotes the sustainability of BAT’s
business model in Samoa.
- Actively lead the organization in enhancing and delivering the BAT Samoa Strategic Leadership Journey.
- Establish personal leadership agendas for self and direct reports.
- Ensure development of the Finance Function in Samoa is progressed
through coaching and development and leadership behaviors are role modelled by direct reports.
- Build an environment and culture that will enable all employees to achieve and contribute to the goals of the organization.
- Develop and implement strategies that enable the attraction and retention of talent to the organization.
Qualifications and Essential Attributes:
- A Degree in Accounting & Finance .
- At least 10 years of experience, where 5 years has been in a Senior.
- Leadership finance position in a similar environment.
- Commercial and strategic thinking.
- English and local / regional languages as required.
- Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
- Experience dealing with external stakeholders.
- A sound knowledge of Corporate and BAT financial practice.
- A good understanding of the tobacco business including operations, marketing and sales
strong leadership, interpersonal skills and the ability to influence.
