Australia places great value on our partnership with Samoa, recognising the integral role we play in our region, with shared stewardship of the Blue Pacific continent we each call home. Our partnership is underpinned by our shared values and membership of the Pacific Islands Forum and guided by our Bilateral Partnership Arrangement, signed by Prime Ministers Fiame and Albanese in March 2023.

Together, we are building on our shared history and personal connections through cooperation in sport, security, climate, and disaster resilience. And together, we are delivering economic and human development solutions though our locally led development partnerships, Tautai and Tautua.

As Australian High Commissioner, I look forward to working with the Government and people of Samoa to reinforce our strong bilateral ties, continue our cooperation on regional and global issues and promote a resilient, healthy, and inclusive Samoa.
