ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role is part of Operations Function.
The role is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards in quality of tobacco/cigarette are maintained as per the protocols defined in BAT Global Quality Management System and undertake product audits in the Manufacturing Division, and report on overall quality performance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESEPONIBLE FOR
- Carry out data entry into the application systems maintained in the Laboratory, compilation and submission of respective reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure daily quality checks and inspections around the floor are conducted as required.
- Ensure that Pest and Hygiene Management monitoring and reporting is carried out daily.
- Supervise quality progress in the Manufacturing and report results daily, collaborate closely with the Production Lead on all Team regarding quality problems.
- Maintenance and communication of product specification changes to floor
- Audit of processes and controls to ensure integrity of our products are always maintained.
- Ensure full compliance, at any point in time, to controls, processes and procedures required as part of the role.
- Shared responsibility with the Engineering & Utilities Executive, calibrate designated scales, gauges, and instruments in the Quality Department on specified intervals.
- Work with Supply Chain to ensure materials received are of the right quality standard.
- Consolidating reports and circulate to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Conduct Compliance Audits and ensure process and QMS systems are updated.
- Carry out routine Quality training to upskill shop floor staff.
- Proactively drive New Product Innovations, collaborating with stakeholders
- Be an active member of the Operations Leadership to drive and implement a good working culture.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- A degree in Science, Lab Technology, Engineering or Environmental Science or other related is an advantage
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role or field in a factory setting
- Able to Lead self and team.
- Be an effective team player within Operations.
- High level of analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Statistical process control
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work cross functions.
- Proficient command of English and excellent communication and people skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite
