Position: Graphics Designer and Operator (Sandblasting) and Related Works
Starting Salary Rate: $18,000 - $22,000pa + perks
Responsible to: Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical: Engraving designs & Operations
- Responsible for collection and recording data from customers.
- Responsible for the mock artwork design for the customers using graphic design software (Photoshop, Cutstudio, Lightroom).
- Responsible for inputting the artwork in the CNC engraving software.
- Responsible/Assist with operating the Sandblasting Machine.
- Responsible/Assist with patting and Gold Wilding.
- Production of Ceramic Photos.
Administrative:
- Assist in the production of awareness/promotional materials and periodic reports.
- Perform periodic inspections/maintenance of tools and materials.
- Perform quotations and invoicing for customers.
- Undertake other matters as directed by your superiors.

Selection Criteria
- Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Science/Technology/Math/Graphics or related fields (Essential) or Foundation Year Study — Science/Technology.
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience in graphics or related field. (Essential).
- Must have knowledge and experience in research fieldwork and report writing skills. (Essential).
- Must have good communication skills in both English and Samoan. (Essential).
- Must be computer literate (Essential).
- Ability to work in the field and supervise a team (Essential).
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and work overtime if needed. Shift work if required, Saturdays and public holidays if required (Essential).
- Must have graphic design skills — Photoshop (Essential).
- Age 20-30 (Desirable).
- A small test was conducted at our office to ascertain current skills.
Training Provided
SMH will provide the essential training needed for designing and operating engraving machines, painting, and gold gilding and administration. Prior background knowledge of the selected candidate will help them understand faster.
