The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) is an intergovernmental organisation working to strengthen national capacity and regional solidarity so Pacific nations can manage, control, and develop their tuna fisheries now and in the future.

We are now looking for a Systems Analyst Programmer to join our team on a  full-time basis.

As a Systems Analyst Programmer at FFA, reporting to the Manager of IT, you will provide critical systems analysis, design, and development. Your role includes developing new systems, enhancing existing ones, and offering ICT support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and design systems to meet FFA's evolving needs.
  • Develop and maintain system modules and applications.
  • Provide strategic technical advice and general ICT support.

What you bring to the team

We seek a professional with a graduate degree in computing science, information systems, or a related field, and at least 6 years of experience in enterprise ICT environments.

As our ideal candidate, you will have prior experience as a Systems Analyst and/or Programmer.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Software development experience using PHP, Laravel, and related languages.
  • Experience in database management and administration.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., RHCE/RHCSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

In addition, your analytical and research skills coupled with your ability to work individually or as part of an interdisciplinary team and excellent communication skills in English will make you an invaluable member of our team.

Benefits on offer

For your work and effort as our Systems Analyst Programmer, you will receive a competitive salary package of circa US$61,670.00 - US$84,717.00  (tax-free, for citizens of most countries), negotiable to earn more based on your skills and experience.

  • Superannuation, paid at 7.5% into either a nominated fund or an additional cash supplement (paid out every 6 months or twice a year).
  • Reimbursement of all reasonable medical, dental, and optical expenses for yourself and your dependents.
