Finance Officer - Receivables

Tradepac Marketing Samoa Limited is an established distributor of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and is part of CJ Patel Group of Companies in Fiji. Tradepac is represented in Samoa with its Head Office in Apia. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Officer to be based at our Head Office in Samoa.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Accountant, the successful incumbent will be responsible to carry out the following duties:

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
• Prepare invoices and bank deposits
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients ensuring timely collection
• Attend to supplier and customer queries & solving reconciliation items.
• Assist with conducting physical inventories Stocktake monthly basis

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting & Finance with relevant work experience in receivables
• Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills, sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Computer Literate- Strong excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Should be able to communicate well, be proactive and willing to go the extra mile.
• Be a team player, assist team members as and when required.
