Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Samoa Breweries Limited invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following challenging job opportunity now available in our SOP/Finance Department.  We are seeking a self-motivated, and results driven team player to add value towards making a difference in exceeding our consumers and customer needs.

Primary Purpose of Role:

Responsible for ensuring the proficient and safe use of the forklift in lifting, moving, and packing of merchandize

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Make sure the forklift machinery is safe for operations.
  • Carry out regular check and maintenance on the forklift and other control equipment.
  • Load, unload, move, and pack materials.
  • Inspect products to be moved for accuracy, and safely move them to warehouse.
  • Load and offload materials onto and off pallets skids, and vehicles.
  • Ensure that materials loaded to be transported are secure.
  • Ensure that products are safely moved to designated areas.
  • Ensure that the products are properly stacked.
  • Recognize and report mechanical and electrical flaws to the warehouse manager.
  • Ensure that all orders, supplies and products distributed are exact and correct.
  • Report all products and supplies being carried around to the team leader for stocktaking and other report
  • Food Safety & Quality System
  • Ensure that food safety and quality systems are being followed and observed
  • Report all food quality and safety issues to Food Safety and Quality team to the Safety team

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have a forklift driver’s license.
  • Must possess the necessary safety training and certificates.
  • Must have the ability to work in high pressure environment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Pass form 6 and form 5 (minimum qualification)

We are looking for an individual with experience and good knowledge of handling Forklift Machineries and who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced environment as well as someone with a strong team work ability and able to work long hours and weekends if needed.
